Table Rules
Table Art and Culture has started by gastronomical idea of Jean Valby.
It means to be a gourmet, to support harmonious social and friendly relations with others. To enjoy yourself not only taking food but also appreciating the highest taste and quality of dishes.
On your own belief, you confirmed to respect Table Art Rules of Chaine des Rotisseurs:
We do not mix water with wine.
Water should be always presented on the table.
If we are thirsty we drink water, to enjoy ourselves we choose wine.
We do not recommend to put salt and pepper on the table.
As the table is prepared by great cooks we can not doubt their work nor their knowledge. Great culinary is like an artist. Our former president said: if you buy a painting of a famous artist as Rubens, Moro, Picasso, you will not supplement it with your own strokes.
We do not smoke at the table, it is allowed only after coffee.
And of course, we do not ask for coffee just after the first course.
We do not allow discussions at the table
and we do not leave it during course changing.
Besides absolute necessity.
Regarding to the new technologies we have added one more point to our rules:
We switch off our mobile phones while we are having meal.
