Gusev Vladimir Alexsandrovich
Director of the Russian State Museum, an art critic.
Born April 25, 1945 in Kalinin (Tver).
Graduated from the Leningrad Repin Painting , Sculpture and Architecture Lnstitute in 1974.
Has defended his candidate dissertation.
Having graduated from the Institute, he worked as a scientific secretary, and then as an executive secretary of the board of the Leningrad Artists Union.
1988 was elected the Director of Russian State Museum.
Carries out the Project of Intensive Development of the Russian Museum, which includes the restoration and renovation of the Mikhaylovsky, Stroganovsky, Mramorny and Engineering palaces.
