Dear members of the National Bailliage de Russie of the Chaine des Rotisseurs and our friends, In December 2008 our association will turn seven years. We are still a young organization; however we have some good results. The Russian Branch has become a competent member of the national non-commercial association of the Chaine des Rotisseurs, which is confirmed by the permanent interest among foreign participants.

Now the preparations of the Grand Chapitre which will take place on December 4- 7 2008, are at full speed. For the seventh time the beautiful St Petersburg hosts the International Grand Chapitre of Bailliage de Russie. I not only sincerely welcome you to our festivity but I encourage our Confrères from all over the world to take this opportunity to discover fascinating city rich in history and superb gastronomic delights of top local restaurant. Sharing the pleasures of fine dining and good wines with Chaine members is the perfect occasion for creating new bonds of friendship and developing the gastronomic values.

On September 19, 2008 Pavel Petrov, the winner of National Young Cooking Competition will represent Russia in the International Competition in Paris. Pavel’s mentor, member of Bailliage de Russie, Maitre Rotisseur Dominique Ferchaud is training him to ensure the best performance at the competition. I wish both of them good luck!
